A friend gave me a CD of his which contained the notorious film known as Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma. It's an Italian film by a guy named Pier Paolo Passolini and it was released in 1975. Apparently, this is supposed to be the most evil, sadistic, unforgiving, ruthless and gory movie ever made. And I watched it! The story goes that 18 teenagers, nine of each gender, were kidnapped by Nazi soldiers during their occupation in Northern Italy during WWII. They were all taken into a hidden mansion where they were told that their freedom was now gone. Then for about 120 days, they wore no clothes and were raped, beaten, molested, forced to eat shit and cakes full of nails. And they didn't care if the victims were guys or girls. On the last day, they were all killed by getting scalped, cutting their eyeballs out and genitals being burned.
Truly, some scenes were disgusting but I have to say that this movie is one of the best I've seen. I was thinking that it was more weird rather than gory. I don't know why but I felt the scenes were quite mild than I thought.
Give it a try and watch it. It's banned in Singapore, including most countries, so try downloading it.
